Hello,
We have looked through your site and noticed that you have a “jobs” section in which several sites were listed.
We would like to recommend our site http://www.careerjet.cz.
Careerjet is an employment search engine for the Czech Republic. It allows you to search a growing selection of jobs listed on company sites as well as jobsites in one go saving you the trouble of having to go to each site individually.
We hope this site will interest you and can be included in your listings.
Thank you
Yours truly

Extremely useful site on planning networks. I note that the BER of 1E-3 is often referenced as design thresholds in link planning. Whilst pure voice links will survive down to this figure any noticable BER will completely kill TCP/IP session or most data services. I’ve found in the past that even 1E-6 on a TCP/IP link will cause sessions to hang as the TCP retrys are fired off.
I’d be uncomfortable on any BER less than about 1E-8 and would certainly worry at 1E-6. Unfortunately the vendors don’t normally specify RSSIs at anything better than 1E-3 and certainly not better than 1E-6. So what I have done in the past is add about 3dB to the 1E-6 RSSI or about 6dB to the 1E-3 level and work out the availability at that level which should be close to the residual-BER. Its not very scientific but worked for me in the past. In any case if you are worrying about 3dB in your fade margins you are looking for trouble in a public safety (Emergency Services) environment.
Of course this all depends on the nature of your system. The figures above relate to my experience with PDH (2×2Mbit) systems in the Middle East where routers are interconnected.
I’d love to know if anyone has any information on designing links for higher BER performance and what guidelines they have adopted.
regards
Andy
